  • If this is your first time taking pilates or if you haven’t worked out in a while, Foundations is the right class for you!

    Intensity: Low

  • Build a strong foundation by activating your deepest core muscles while learning ideal movement patterns specific to your body. Expect a slower, intentional flow with hands-on corrections to support safe, effective movement.

  • No two classes are the same. Some days focus on light resistance to support bone density, while others introduce faster-paced movement to elevate heart rate and cardiovascular health. Regardless of the tools or tempo, each class leaves you with greater body awareness you can apply to everyday life.

    • Proper pelvic floor activation

    • Correct breathing mechanics

    • Ideal movement patterns

    • Strengthening and lengthening the body
Leave feeling stronger, taller, and more confident.

Foundations

Women doing a lunge holding straps on a pilates reformer machine.
  • More intense than Foundations, this class will not only challenge your endurance, but also your mind-body connection. Also called MVMT.

    Intensity: Medium

  • Improve balance, develop strength through length, and move with ideal biomechanical patterns. These skills gradually progress into more advanced movement sequences.

  • Seamless, flowing sequences designed to give your body the movement it craves. MVMT is ideal for Foundations clients ready for a challenge, those who sit for long periods, frequent travelers, or anyone with a regular Pilates practice looking for a balanced, go-to class.

    • Spinal mobility

    • Muscle strengthening and stretching

    • Joint stabilization

    • Core engagement

Movement

  • Mixed Equipment is a dynamic, mixed-media class blending the movement principles learned in Foundations and MVMT with stretching, chair work, and the jumpboard.

    Intensity: Medium-High

  • Integrate strength, mobility, and controlled cardio into one balanced class. Mixed Equipment is designed to build full-body strength, support bone density, and improve coordination while reinforcing efficient movement patterns.

  • Expect a varied and engaging class that moves through intentional strength work, mobility, and low-to-moderate cardiovascular challenge using multiple pieces of equipment.

Due to the cardiovascular intensity of bouncing/jumping movements, please avoid this class if you are experiencing pelvic floor discomfort and spinal or heart contraindications. It is HIGHLY suggested to be cleared by your Pelvic Floor Specialist or Physician prior to taking this class. If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms or conditions please take a Foundations class, schedule a private session, or reach out to Robin via email: hello@shedpilates.com
